Waterproof Cotton Pillow Protector

Our Waterproof Cotton Pillow Protector come from untreated non GMO seeds grown from healthy soil made sustainable through crop rotation and the use of beneficial insect and trap crops. Our printing is done with low-impact fiber reactive or natural dyes, water based inks and pigments. When you purchase Cotton products you are benefiting not only the environment but the hard work of the farmers who use sustainable methods. Since cotton is also a fair trade product the farmers who grow it are ruefully paid a fair price above the market rate for the honest fruits of their labour.

PVC and VOC Free

While the fabric is organic cotton, the waterproof polyurethane lamination is not organic. However polyurethane is the cleanest, safest, and most durable water barrier available on the market today. It is 100% waterproof, breathable, inert, free of VOCs & PVC, burns clean, and doesn't off gas or leach chemicals. At this time it is impossible to have a 100% organic pillow protector that is also 100% waterproof and can withstand regular use and laundering over a long period of time.

Cotton truly is, “the fabric of our lives.” Most of us come in contact with items made from cotton every day, from the clothes we wear, the sheets you sleep on, and even some of the food you eat. The large amount of conventional cotton production comes at a price. Growing conventional cotton requires the use of enormous amounts of toxic chemicals creating a vastly negative impact on the environment. Choosing Organically produced items will help to alleviate health risks and leave a smaller footprint on the environment. Learn more about How Does Growing Cotton Affect The Environment?
