WHAT FIRST INTERESTED YOU IN PHOTOGRAPHY AND HOW DID YOU GET STARTED?
“I grew up traveling a lot with my family, and I always wanted to capture the subtleties that gave these places their unique story and personality. In giving me my first camera, my dad was the first to teach me to notice the beauty around me and to capture the world through photography. These formed my early experiences in visual storytelling and they were so formative. Later in college, as I grew to spend more of my life indoors, I started to appreciate the aspects of a beautiful space or environment that I always wanted to have around (especially as an English major roaming the beautiful campus halls!). It was then that I became inspired by interiors, spaces, and design.”
WHERE DO YOU FIND YOUR INSPIRATION?
“I love using the art of noticing and mindfulness to capture scenes and moments that catch my eye. I also enjoy interacting with the Instagram community and seeing how various talented creatives paint the story of their lives. These people and experiences have greatly inspired me, and taught me to use photography as a way to explore textures of an environment that bring joy and inspiration.”
