Guest Post: Canary Jane Shares Earth Day Ideas
Written by Natashia, blogger, artist, and mom from Canaryjane.com
Hi there, Natashia from Canary Jane guest posting here to share some of my favorite ways to help the Earth. There are a handful of ways we can take care of our Earth year around. And why not go green and help the Earth wherever we can? If you're looking for some ways, look no further, I've rounded up green products, DIY ideas, and more.
One of the easiest ways to take care of our Earth is to buy products that are good for the environment. We recently decided we would try an organic pillow topper and organic cotton sheets from our friends here at The Futon Shop. This mattress topper is chemical free and uses natural organic wool and cotton which is awesome for the environment and you. It doesn't irritate the skin and is hypoallergenic. We always really enjoyed sleeping on our new topper because the cotton and wool seem to conform to us as we sleep. And it's great to know we are helping our environment too.
Another great way to go green for Earth Day is to try making some of these household items from scratch. On this site you can learn how to make various cleaners and even a cold remedy. The cool part of these is you probably have most of the ingredients in your home already so not only are you not using products that are full of tons of chemicals you are saving money too.
Another really cool idea for Earth day is to invest in green makeup products. Once again these are products good for the environment and for you. These natural products are better for your body and you can buy them knowing you are helping the environment. Win-win. You can check out the list here. And if you're looking for some fun crafts and DIYs for yourself and your family I've put together an awesome list here.
